David Cross will be the guest ahead of this weekend’s game with Coventry City.
We are delighted to announce that joining pre-match diners before this weekend’s game with Coventry will be former striker David Cross.
Cross is a player who is synonymous with this fixture following his heroic exploits in the now legendary Dale FA Cup game with Coventry back in 1971. The game saw Dale defeat a then top flight Coventry side with goals from David Cross and Dennis Butler sending Dale into the Fourth Round for the first time ever.
He subsequently left Dale for Norwich City before going on to have an illustrious career in the game that saw him play for Coventry, West Ham and Manchester City amongst several others. He finished his career with an FA Cup winners medal to his name along with an outstanding tally of 223 goals.
