Recently we have lost this well loved local lad, who was part of the Dale exploits in the dark days of re-election uncertainty back in the late eighties, scoring valuable goals to ease the strain to stay in the Football League.
He also was a gifted amateur golfer, still holds the record at Tunshill Golf Club, before moving to Spain, where I believe he lived a good life in the sun.
